Exactal History: Exactal was established in October 2003 in Brisbane, Australia, to develop software for the construction industry and, more specifically, to integrate the estimating process with CAD drawing files. This approach allowed Exactal to deliver unique bi-directional links between the estimate and the sections of the drawing that the estimate represents. CostX® was then officially launched in July 2004.

Continuing to enhance its lead in the market, the product range has grown in functionality throughout the years and is now used in over 80 countries worldwide; in quantity surveying, construction, subcontracting and civil companies. To support this worldwide user base, Exactal has nine international offices including two in Australia (Brisbane & Sydney), one in the UK (London), one in the USA (Austin), one in New Zealand (Auckland), one in the UAE (Dubai), one in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), one in Singapore and our Head Office in Hong Kong.

Exactal also provides a range of other exciting construction products for users. Then, ConnectX is focused on Project Management (including Defects Management, Contracts Administration and more), while eMeasure is focused specifically on 2D takeoff for use with Microsoft Excel®.
